Tour Overview

Central Australia is a land of striking contrasts from its ancient secrets and majestic natural wonders to the sandy plains and sweeping mountain ranges in the comfort of a 6WD vehicle. Travelling with a group of no more than 18 like-minded participants, you’ll visit the heartland of Australia and experience its most sacred landscapes, view beautiful rock art dating back thousands of years, sample delicious and authentic bush tucker, explore the mystical domes of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and toast a spectacular Uluru sunset, marvel at Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon) and learn about the history of Alice Springs with visits to the iconic Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air and Overland Telegraph Station, all extremely important in connecting outback Central Australia to the outside world.

Comfort is the key to this amazing journey. Our transportation is a purpose built 6WD tour coach. All accommodation is in rooms with en-suite and most meals are included. This extraordinary tour of Central Australia starts and finishes in Alice Springs.

Moderate

This program includes placeswhich can only be explored on foot and where walking tours may be a little longer and not always on the flat. Accommodation may have some stairs and or have some rooms which may involve some walking to access.
All our programs naturally involve some walking in order to discover better the places visited and, although we arrange porterage where this is available, participants are expected to be able to handle their own bags. Our program leaders will always try to make as much of the program as possible available for those who find walking longer distances, uphill or down steps difficult but, in same places, this cannot always be avoided.
If you have any concerns at all about your level of fitness, please do not hesitate to talk to us and discuss further with the experts who know the particular demands of each program.
